The College was founded in 1995 following the amalgamation of the Catholic primary and secondary schools in the Moreton Bay Region. The multi-campus College operates as the principal Catholic College on the Redcliffe peninsula. Southern Cross Catholic College has three campuses located in Scarborough, Kippa Ring and Woody Point accommodating students in Prep to Year 6 and a fourth campus in Scarborough accommodating middle and senior years students from Year 7 to 12.

The secondary campus is seeking a suitably qualified, passionate and experienced applicant for the part-time fixed term position of Professional Assistant to the Head of Campus, Secondary.

The position is part-time (30 hours per week – Monday to Friday - 6 hours per day), term time for Semester 2 2021

To be successful in this role you will have proven secretarial skills, with strong communication and organisational abilities.
You will be responsible for providing strong administrational support to the Head of Campus and Leadership team and have the ability to work autonomously and exercise a high level of discretion and confidentiality.

Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):  Term 3 & Term 4 2021

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required: Monday - Friday - 6 hours per day 30 hours per week

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate: School Officer Level 5   (hourly rate $34.37)

Employment Conditions:  Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
