An exciting opportunity has become available to undertake the role of Programme Leader in Media, Music & Performing Arts. The successful post holder will assist the Director of Curriculum in the operational day to day running of the area and will be expected to teach an appropriate caseload within the designated curriculum area. The post holder will also be expected to undertake line management duties. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to advance their career to the next step of management.   

The post holder will need to possess a degree or equivalent / professional qualification in a related field. Ability to teach media would be an advantage but please still apply if you have a different but related discipline. You must have a full teaching qualification to current national standards.    

The post holder must also have the ability to demonstrate experience of delivering on a range of programmes and developing, implementing and monitoring quality assurance processes and procedures as well as demonstrate a sound understanding of the qualities of good teaching and effective learning, including different teaching and learning styles, and how these apply to promoting learner experience. The post holder must also be able to demonstrate excellent team working skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Annual leave  

Academic staff are entitled to 40 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales. 

Business Support staff are entitled to 30 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales. 

College Management Team are entitled to 35 days per annum (pro rata for part time staff) for the academic year 01 September to 31 August and this is in addition to the Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in England and Wales.  

The College is closed for 2 weeks during the student Christmas break during which time all staff are granted additional leave to be taken at this time.
