Salary: £21,534 - £34,757 per annum plus excellent benefits

Hours: 37 hours / 1FTE

Contract Type: Permanent

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join Exeter College to teach Psychology AS and A Level. Taught within the Faculty of Humanities, psychology currently has a very large cohort of around 400 learners, the vast majority of which are A level students. The subject is also delivered as part of the International Baccalaureate, and is an optional subject on our Access to HE course.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about further education and keen to support the development of the curriculum, particularly in light of the new A Level reforms. The successful candidate will join a large team of dedicated subject specialists who are committed to ensuring the delivery of high quality teaching and learning experiences in Psychology. There may also be an opportunity for the right candidate to take on a leadership role within the psychology teaching team, as part of the Faculty Management Group.

This is an ideal opportunity for a dedicated psychology specialist to bring their own ideas and strengths to the delivery of this subject at Level 3. In addition to teaching, you will be expected to offer pastoral support as a tutor and be able to motivate our learners to achieve their full potential. You will need to have a flexible approach, initiative and excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. The ability to offer a second humanities subject would be an advantage, but is not essential.

If you have the drive and passion and are committed to delivering outstanding teaching and learning then we would like to hear from you.

The closing date for receipt of completed application is 26th September at 12 midnight.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure by the DBS.

We do not accept CV’s, no agencies please.

Exeter College is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and access for all, irrespective of age, background, race, gender, religion, ability, disability or sexuality. We welcome applications for employment from the whole community.
