Team leaders are responsible for TLA, quality, student support, staff leadership and resource issues in respect of all courses offered. We are seeking applicants with good academic and professional qualifications, appropriate lecturing experience and experience of leadership in an educational context.  We are looking for someone who works with confidence with a wide variety of ability levels, who is a committed team member and who projects an enthusiasm for this subject.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading a team who teach a range of full and part-time programmes and offer tutorial support to a number of full and part-time students. You will also be responsible for the delivery of Construction related programmes from Level one to Level three including Apprenticeships. The existing Construction team currently consists of approx. 15 staff and is based in purpose-built facilities on the Truro campus. This is a rapidly expanding area across full time, part-time and apprenticeship within an extremely well-resourced purpose-built area with further significant investment over coming months.  Current full-time students are over 200 as well as 100 apprenticeship students. T level delivery is underway, and the successful applicant will be expected to continue the vibrant curriculum development including HE opportunities.

The area delivers a wide range of courses including:

  • Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Architectural Joinery
  • Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Bench Joinery
  • Level 1, 2 and 3 Diploma in Bricklaying
  • Level 1 Diploma Carpentry and Joinery
  • Level 2 and Level 3 Diploma in Site Carpentry
  • Level 1, 2 and 3 Diploma in Painting and Decorating
  • Level 1 and Level 2 Diploma in Plastering
  • Level 2 and Level 3 Apprenticeships.

Applicants should hold a degree or similar professional qualifications, a recognised teaching qualification and assessor/verifier awards or equivalent.
