Due to increased recruitment Calderdale College is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to work across the Faculty of Creative, Digital & Professional Trades to support the retention, achievement and progression of 16-19 students on vocational study programmes. The Progress Coach will work as part of a wider team to ensure our students achieve their qualifications and gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to progress to the next stage in their careers.

The appropriate applicant would ideally have experience of working with young people in an education or training setting, be adaptable and learner focused with a passion for vocational education.  This role requires someone who is a dynamic and innovative individual with the ability to influence and motivate students. Experience of coaching and/or supporting young people is preferable but more importantly is an understanding of the barriers they might face whilst at college.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  Appointments are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
