Please note: The quick turnaround in this advert is due to the promotion of the current postholder.  Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a pre-interview task on Thursday 28th May, 10am-12noon, sent electronically.  Successful candidates will be invited to interview in school on Friday 29th May, adhering to social distancing guidelines. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion for Science; you will possess the ability to share this passion with our diverse and inclusive student body.  The successful candidate will be a team player who encourages collaboration within the department and the wider school.  You will have a focus on your own professional development and a determination to become the best teacher and leader you can be.  You will work alongside a supportive team to continue to achieve the highest possible outcomes for students irrespective of their backgrounds or starting points.  With a record of securing good outcomes for many years, this is a great opportunity for the right candidate to lead a dynamic department and be pivotal in shaping the department on its journey to outstanding.  The ability to teach Chemistry or Physics is highly desirable.

In June 2016 we were judged by Ofsted to be ‘good’ in all areas.  We offer a friendly, supportive working environment, which values talented, committed staff and offers excellent professional development opportunities.  We are highly committed to managing teacher workload and offer a fortnightly home-based PPA session to all teaching staff.
