Students are encouraged to make ‘Teaspoons of Change’ - small yet significant actions that make a real difference to the lives of others epitomising our school mission and ethos.
At JIS, children begin their education in the Early Years (Nursery, Kindergarten and Reception), which follows the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. In the Primary Years (Years 1-6), the curriculum balances core knowledge with opportunities to apply, investigate and personalise learning.
In the Senior School, our Middle Years (Years 7-9) provide a nurturing environment where students can flourish academically, creatively, socially and emotionally. Students then progress into the IGCSE programme (Year 10-11), a two-year British curriculum that culminates in exams, providing a strong foundation for further education.
In the Sixth Form (Years 12-13), students choose between three pathways: A Levels, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma or the International BTEC. These diverse options allow students to pursue their goals and interests, preparing them for future success in whichever field they choose to enter.
Alongside academics, JIS offers a strong co-curricular programme with almost 300 activities to choose from. This includes a wide range of sports and arts activities, the International Award (DoE) programme and the Model United Nations club. Encouraging engagement in co-curricular activities goes far beyond the confines of our campus.
Students are provided with enriching opportunities to participate in a range of local and international events, including FOBISIA competitions, UK Maths and Science Olympiads, Dive club, Music competitions across Asia. These all offer invaluable opportunities which will shape our students into well-rounded compassionate global citizens ready to inspire positive change in our community and beyond and prepare them for success after JIS.
