We have an opportunity for a suitably skilled Purchase and Finance Assistant to join our team at this ‘Excellent in every aspect' rated Independent School. The role will involve recording and retrieving financial transactions, maintaining financial records, budgetary control, processing payments and cash handling. Other duties include being responsible for obtaining quotes and the ordering of resources, processing invoices, managing monthly statements, petty cash, general day-to-day office administration and the booking of coaches and minibuses for school trips.
The successful candidate must have excellent and demonstrable communication skills at all levels, verbal and written, be approachable and have a friendly manner with a ‘can-do’ attitude toward work and customer service. Able to work effectively in a team and independently is an essential requirement, as is holding a good level of education; A*-C/9-4 grade GCSE's in Maths and English, or hold equivalent qualifications.
We are looking for someone who has excellent financial administrative, organisational and attention to detail skills with the ability to confidently use the Microsoft Office Suite. It is essential applicants have experience in bookkeeping and cash handling and able to remain calm, professional and flexible within this busy school environment.

This position is a permanent role working full-time (40 hours per week) for 40 weeks per year and part-time (27.5 hours per week) for 12 weeks of the year, plus six Saturdays mornings per year. These hours will be given as time in lieu.
