An opportunity has arisen to join the Physical Education Team at West Heath School. We require a dynamic, motivated, pro-active, adaptable and well-organised individual who has the ability and skills to successfully deliver dynamic lessons to a diverse range of students of different ages and abilities.
We require an enthusiastic and inspiring PE teacher who is responsible for planning and teaching well executed lessons with well-prepared resources. They will need to cover a wide range of different sports and physical activities and provide our young people with an opportunity to develop and improve their physical and social skills. Applicants need to be able to successfully manage behaviour and be able to motivate and encourage students to take part in lessons. They will need to work well as part of a team as well as independently and also be able to work with learning support assistants in their lessons. Experience of SEN/SEMH related strategies and programmes would be welcomed. Rapport with our students is key - the position will see you as part of a main subject team as well as supporting pastorally in a Tutor group. This role is demanding and challenging, but very rewarding.

West Heath School is an Independent SEN residential school with charity status. We provide a therapeutically informed learning environment for children aged 10-19 who have suffered some form of trauma and are unable to access mainstream education.
