About St Luke's Church of England School

Values and vision

St Luke's Church of England School is committed to promoting Christian values. There is a daily act of worship, which staff see as an important part of school life. The act of worship is broadly Christian in nature and incorporates aspects of personal, social, health and emotional education. The primary school is sensitive to the needs of children of other faiths when planning acts of worship. Staff firmly believe that no child should be expected to worship in a way that undermines their own faith, but that children should also be encouraged to broaden their experiences and respect others.

St Luke's Church of England School believes its core values help prepare all children to become responsible and caring members of modern Britain. Teachers value each pupil as an individual with different talents and needs. As the children grow older, they gain roles of greater responsibility and are offered opportunities to be playground leaders, as well as prefects and house captains.
