About the role

To carry out the professional duties of a teacher as circumstances may require and in accordance with the academy's policies under the direction of the Headteacher. To be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well.

About our Academy

We are a rural, village primary school of just 100 pupils. Our small size means that each child is valued and treated as an individual with the ability to succeed.

At Newnham children are the centre of everything we do. In our recent inspection, Ofsted said that children ‘enjoy school and have good attitudes to learning’ and that ‘pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is good, and this contributes well to their positive attitudes and good behaviour’. Our core aim as a school is to ensure that all children achieve their full personal and academic potential. We provide a learning environment and school ethos in which children can flourish and develop an enthusiasm for learning along with a desire for personal excellence key attractions for potential candidates – the Academy’s vision and success stories

Experience of teaching in KS1 or KS2

Demonstrable evidence of high standards of class teaching

Practical understanding of effective teaching and evaluation strategies
