We are looking to appoint a reliable, organised and flexible person to co-ordinate the smooth running of our busy reception area at Thomas Knyvett College and to provide administrative support within the front office.  Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Thomas Knyvett College sets high standards for behaviour, promoting traditional values that will be important for life-long achievement. We believe that academic attainment flourishes in this atmosphere, enabling students to develop into confident and well-rounded young adults.

One of the most improved comprehensive schools in the country and in the county of Surrey with 70% of students having achieved A*-C in Summer 2018. The progress for students was outstanding and is exceptional.  Judged, for the third time, by Ofsted in December 2013 as providing ‘good’ teaching and learning, we are justly proud of The Howard brand.  Our high quality, professional staff are dedicated to ‘bringing out the best’ in all our students through a personalised approach, enabling them to achieve more than they ever thought they could.

The Howard Partnership Trust was the first soft federation Academy Chain in the country, led by an outstanding school and we are highly committed to this way of working. The distinctive feature of The Howard Partnership Trust is that the schools within our Multi Academy Trust all retain their own unique features in order to meet the needs of the communities which they serve. However, the vision and values that underpin the schools are exactly the same: namely to ensure that consistently high quality teaching facilitates excellent learning within an inclusive, caring, vibrant environment. We all aim to ‘Bring out the Best’ in our students. These are the hallmarks of any one of The Howard Partnership Trust schools.

What Ofsted said:

“Students arrive at the college with attainment that is much lower than average. By the time they leave, their examination results are above average. This reflects the rapid progress they make in all year groups.”  Ofsted 2013

We offer:

  • an outstanding professional development programme,
  • a successful, supportive and highly strategic Senior Leadership Team
  • an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and developing organisation.

THPT value their staff very highly, as reflected in the excellent retention rates across the Trust. THPT also operate an extensive Rewards and Benefits Scheme that includes Loyalty & Service Awards, consideration of relocation packages, travel allowances and grants, access to discount schemes, and much more.

Applications will be passed on to the Headteacher and interviews may happen before the closing date so early applications are encouraged.

Employment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The Howard Partnership Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
