The UCL Academy are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Receptionist to work at their Secondary School. A good working knowledge of MS Office programmes, databases, good word processing skills, appropriate experience and proven organisational skills are essential. An excellent telephone manner, a sense of humour, accuracy, enthusiasm, flexibility, and an ability to work under pressure are also required.
Exercising a high degree of integrity and confidence, you will act as the first point of contact at the Academy dealing with front line enquires from staff and visitors, providing a professional and efficient reception service and representing the Academy in a professional and friendly manner. As part of the wider office team, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the organisation and be responsible for a range of administrative duties, including answering telephone calls and managing the Academy’s enquiries email inbox, as well as liaising with external suppliers. Working closely with your colleagues, you will work well as a team and assist with the coordination of events and first aid at the Academy.
The ideal candidate will preferably have experience in similar role within a busy school setting, have a proactive approach in liaising with parents, visitors and guests and can demonstrate the ability to remain calm in challenging and pressured situations.
