We have made significant, sustained progress at GCSE and are proud to be the most improved secondary school in Sheffield over the last nine years. In August 2017 our Progress 8 score of 0.95 meant that we were ranked first in Sheffield and amongst the top 1% in the country, with results in our Sixth Form also improving. Nevertheless, we are committed to further development in both teaching and learning.
 
The academy has 1,100 pupils and is situated in purpose-built £30million premises, benefiting from excellent, state-of-the-art facilities and situated within ten minutes of major transport links in the city.
 
After a visit from Ofsted in October 2017, the academy maintained its ‘Good’ grading in all aspects of the inspection framework.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and conscientious individual for the position of Receptionist at Sheffield Park Academy. 37.5 hours per week – Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, 42 weeks per annum (term time + 15 days).


Main duties will include

  • To provide an excellent first point of service to internal and external customers.
  • To maintain the smooth and efficient running of the reception and meeting room areas.
  • To communicate with visitors and students are signed-in in line with Ofsted requirements.
  • To take telephone calls, relay messages to staff and pupils.
  • To undertake reprographics and finance duties as directed by the line manager.
  • To undertake routine clerical duties.

  • To have a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Minimum of A-C grade in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • To be approachable and have excellent people skills.
  • Outstanding organisation skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • A fundamental belief in the power of education to enable pupils to achieve anything they set their minds to.
