Working at Witherslack Group

This is an exceptional role for a senior education leader who recognises a career enhancing opportunity within a growing, supportive and people focused Group.  Reporting to the Operations Director (Schools), this is a business critical role to ensure the delivery of outstanding schools and provide strong leadership to the Headteachers and the school teams. The remit is broad and alongside building strong Group-wide relationships the Regional Director will oversee the delivery of quality management systems, school improvement plans and the sharing of best practice. Witherslack Group’s standards are extremely high and key to success will be holding teams to account and ensure every child’s progress is exceptional.


The Regional Director will work with up to five schools including some of our largest and highest-profile schools. There will be a range of Primary and Secondary Schools, alongside our unique Learning Centres. You will also be heavily involved in the opening of new schools as part of our ambitious growth strategy.


Who we are looking for

With a positive track record of career development you will have delivered outstanding educational outcomes for children and young people. In-depth familiarity with the Ofsted inspection process, curriculum development and devising strategies for raising pupils’ achievements are essential. You will have a resolute focus on quality, bringing experience of team development in an improvement focused culture. Pro-active, forward looking and willing to constantly challenge you will bring the inspirational skills required to further develop team capability and ensure every school is rated as ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.

Competitive basic salary depending on experience, 30% Long Term Incentive plan, company car (Up to £30k) and family health insurance (BUPA), up to 5% contributory pension or Teacher Pension (if eligible), 10 weeks (50 days) holiday (including bank holidays and to be taken outside term time), BUPA Healthcare, comprehensive induction programme and exceptional ongoing training.
