Regional Maths Lead
Salary: £52,414 - £57,934 (L12-16)
Permanent, full time
Starting: January 2020
Are you an exceptional leader of mathematics? Do you want to change young people’s lives?
We are seeking a maths leader with a proven track record of achieving top outcomes, to take on a senior role and drive forward standards in our secondary schools. Our new regional maths leads will work directly with maths curriculum leaders in schools, and also our central education and curriculum team to have a transformational impact.
Inspiration Trust is at an exciting point in its development and this new role is a superb opportunity for someone to have a strong and lasting impact and also shape their role within the trust. Twice ranked the country’s top comprehensive secondary schools group, Inspiration Trust is swiftly becoming a key centre for maths curriculum and teaching. We have one of the country's first maths and science specialist sixth forms and the Norfolk and Suffolk Maths Hub (Angles), is based in our trust.
This senior role will combine teaching with leadership. The successful candidate will work on maths curriculum development and implementation and also support and develop maths leaders in schools. Our maths subject community already work in a close and collaborative way across the trust and we have an extensive maths CPD offer. This role offers the opportunity to play a leading role within that. There would also be the opportunity to be involved in our maths SCITT programme.
You will be an exceptional mathematician in your own right, with a proven track record leading a high performing team to effectively deliver key stage 4 curriculum. Experience of A level in addition would be desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will understand that high impact teaching comes from a structured and well sequenced curriculum and knowledge through teaching. The role will specifically cover leadership of key stage 4 curriculum, assessment and standards across a number of schools within Norfolk and Suffolk.
The Trust may offer support with relocation costs for candidates moving from outside the area.
