Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and eight Early Learning Centres.

About the Role

The role sits within the Education Service Area which provides high quality advice on Curriculum, pedagogy, and leadership development opportunities within CECG. This team also leads mission and faith formation, religious education and curriculum and youth ministry projects.  

Key responsibilities

  • Coaching new and early career Religious Education leaders on leadership based on the AITSL Lead Teacher Standards
  • Develop scaffolds to assist new and early career RE leaders to facilitate effective staff meetings, collaborative planning and to provide professional feedback to teachers of Religious Education 

Essential Criteria

  • Experience in the coaching of Religious Education Leaders as pedagogical leaders
  • Experience in the coaching of Religious Education Leaders to lead in collaboration with school leadership teams the religious life of the school
  • In depth understanding of the AISTL lead teacher standards
  • Highly development communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of teacher educators using a range of technologies
  • Appropriate qualifications in Education and Theolog
  • Experience with executive coaching
