Resident Houseparent for Upper Sixth Boarding House
Houseparents at Queenswood play a vital role in the pastoral well-being of the girls.
The post carries responsibility for the welfare of approximately 25 Upper Sixth girls. Essential qualities of a Houseparent are a good sense of humour, enjoyment of working with teenage girls, stamina, and computer literacy but most importantly, that you are interested in the care and development of teenage girls and preparing them for life beyond school. This post would suit someone already involved in pastoral care, interested in pursuing a career in education or with experience in the caring professions. Benefits include year round free accommodation in the Boarding House (one bedroomed flat on the first floor), free meals during term time, paid school holidays, use of school facilities, all in a beautiful location close to London. Involvement in the wider life of our busy boarding school is expected.
