Resident Language Assistant (French)

Sherborne Girls has a fantastic reputation for language provision and the appointed French Language Assistant will have a passion for languages, strong communication skills and a flexible and imaginative approach to supporting the development of pupils’ French speaking skills.

The Modern Languages Department comprises of specialist language teachers, some of whom teach more than one language, and several of whom are native speakers of the language they teach. As well as a Head of Modern Languages,  the school  has a Head of Spanish, and an International Co-ordinator. Fluent  speaking language assistants are recruited for each language and provide conversation lessons and additional classroom assistance. All the teachers have excellent subject knowledge and  make enthusiastic and effective use of digital facilities for learning, including mobile pen-enabled devices.
