Job overview
The Elms School is a co-educational day and boarding school for 170 children from the ages of 3-13. Every child from the age of 8 upwards has an allocated bed in one of the boarding houses and our community is a close-knit one, thriving in the setting at the base of The Malvern Hills.
Boarding plays a major role in the lives of our children and allows them to develop a sense of belonging whilst being in a home away from home. We expect the successful candidate to play an important role in creating and nurturing a positive and happy environment in order to support our pupils and to settle them into school life.
We are looking for a caring, compassionate Resident Matron to work with the Housemistress and team to provide outstanding pastoral care and support within the school. This post has a competitive salary and accommodation and all meals in term time are provided. A willingness to be involved in all areas of school life would be advantageous.
The Elms is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to DBS and reference checks.
