Job overview
As Apprenticeship Manager - Construction you will want to make a difference by inspiring learners and supporting employers, in developing and implementing an offer which breaks down the barriers to learning and exceeds delivery expectations on our work based and work placed learning contracts.
We are looking for a driven and dynamic manager to grow our Apprenticeship and work placed provision in the Construction Sector so it is essential that you have solid management experience in operations and performance within this sector. It is also essential that you have managed a range of delivery teams across a variety of funding streams and fully understand the contractual delivery requirements.
Key responsibilities will be to support and develop a team of staff, implement and manage effective delivery, work to agreed contractual targets and quality standards of learning and assessment, progression and timely achievement. You will work proactively to develop internal procedures in order to establish consistent practice that meets funding and Awarding Organisation requirements, whilst cultivating strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
You will be well organised, self-disciplined and an effective communicator who can lead their team with passion to exceed all stakeholder expectations.

Derby College is a large general further education college with four sites in or near the city of Derby. It supports around 26,000 learners, who choose from more than 1,000 full-time and part-time apprenticeship, A-level, BTEC and NVQ courses.
Derby College was established as a single institution in 2002 by merging three further education colleges: Mackworth Tertiary College, Wilmorton Tertiary College and Broomfield Agricultural College. A merger between South East Derbyshire College and Derby College was approved in 2010. Heavy investment has been made by the college in its teaching and learning facilities, from the fully equipped teaching kitchens at the Roundhouse campus to the high-tech science labs at the Joseph Wright Centre and the Equestrian Centre at the Broomfield Hall campus.
