We are looking to recruit a number of part time Rowing Coaches to coach and support our pupils from Year 9 to 13 for their introduction to and development of Rowing at Pangbourne College.
Coaching experience in rowing is essential and qualifications are desirable along with the ability to actively encourage pupils to develop a passion for rowing. Pangbourne is one of the most successful rowing schools in Great Britain. Around a 120 students are members of Pangbourne College Boat Club, which is located on a wide, 7 km stretch on the River Thames.
You will need to be available for 2-3 hours each afternoon on weekdays (times vary based on the season) and also on Saturday mornings from 0900 to 1200. The Club runs a full racing calendar for all age groups so additional hours will be required to support head races and regattas on weekends through the year.

The campus is set in 230 acres of beautiful West Berkshire countryside, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and yet we are just 10 minutes from Junction 12 of the M4 motorway. We are also on the mainline rail network between Oxford (30 minutes) and London Paddington (45 minutes). Daily school transport services are available from Ascot, Basingstoke, Henley/Wargrave, Maidenhead, Newbury and Wantage.

In November 2019, the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) rated the college as ‘Excellent’ for both the academic and personal development of its pupils. It said: ‘Pupils demonstrate exemplary attitudes to learning: they respond to academic challenge with energy and purpose.’
