SCC Group Principal

SCC GroupSalford

Our vision is to become a beacon of educational excellence, transforming the lives of the individuals and communities we serve

SCC Group is one of the most successful educational institutions in the Greater Manchester region. With over 8,000 students located at 5 campuses following traditional further education and higher education programmes or apprenticeships, the College Group is strongly placed to remain at the forefront of educational excellence. We are immensely proud of the achievements of our students, our dedicated staff team, and our partners.

We are now seeking to appoint a new Group Principal to take the College Group forward, and to ensure that we remain positioned to meet the challenges of a dynamic sector. As Further Education adapts to a new way of working, business focus has never been more important. Therefore, a credible candidate will not only have experience of leading a high achieving institution but also of working with business; building partnerships, and making strategic goals an economic and financial reality. Our ideal candidate will have significant experience and expertise in all the relevant areas to ensure that the full potential of SCC Group is achieved. An effective communicator and leader, the successful candidate will be required to build on our strong and diverse range of external stakeholders, and position the College Group as a key business partner across Greater Manchester.

You should have a strong track record of leadership and management in a complex organisation, preferably in Further Education, and be strongly committed to working within the College’s social values and ethos. You must have integrity, experience, expertise, and demonstrate a passion for education, and for working with learners to help them achieve their maximum potential. You will also need to have the ability to inspire trust and confidence in our staff, learners and partners.

This role presents a key opportunity for an individual with vision, drive, determination, resilience and enthusiasm to lead one of Greater Manchester’s most successful colleges in a way which incorporates high quality education and training provision and the facility to support or encourage social mobility. An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
