School Business Manager Brookland Infant and Nursery School is an outstanding, friendly and welcoming 3-form entry school with 315 pupils and 50 staff. There is a very supportive leadership team and governing body committed to helping all children achieve their full potential. We are looking for a skilled and highly motivated School Business Manager to join our friendly and professional team in October 2018.

Candidates must be passionate about education, effective communicators and can demonstrate the ability to manage the school finances and operate strategically.

The successful person will report directly to the Headteacher and will take day to day responsibility for the financial management of the school and HR.

The successful candidate will:

  • a Certificate and/or Diploma in School Business Management
  • be able to think strategically;
  • be experienced at school business and finance management;
  • have an excellent knowledge of HR;
  • be skilled at managing systems and people;
  • be able to find creative solutions to problems;
  • have a proactive, innovative approach to school business development;
  • have excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
  • have good interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with different stakeholders and service providers;
  • have experience in the education sector (although this is not essential).
