Castlebrook High School wish to appoint a School Business Manager. The post is full-time 37 hours per week (worked flexibly within service requirements) with annual leave to be taken during period of school holidays. The salary for this post is £45,688 - £46,647 per annum.

The Academy Principal, Senior Leadership Team, academy councillors and staff are committed to securing outstanding in all areas of school life and the best possible outcomes and life chances for all learners.

We are looking for a dedicated professional who works as part of the Senior Leadership Team to assist the Academy Principal in his/her duty to ensure that the school meets its educational aims and secures the best possible academic outcomes and future life chances for all learners.

The School Business Manager will:

  • Be responsible for providing professional leadership and management of school support staff in partnership with teaching staff, to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school.
  • Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the school’s learning objectives.
  • Be responsible for the Financial Resource Management/Administration Management/Management Information and ICT/Human Resource Management/Facility & Property Management/ Health & Safety Management of the School.
  • Lead and manage the School Office, Finance Administration, Site Manager and Caretakers, Teaching Assistants & Head of Houses, Technicians and other non teaching staff as deemed appropriate.
  • Be enthusiastic, passionate, creative, flexible and innovative with the drive and determination to successfully contribute to whole school improvement.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Be a dedicated team player who develops excellent relationships with learners and colleagues.
  • Fully support and at all times uphold the policies and positive ethos of the school.
