We are looking to appoint a full-time, fixed-term, School Chaplain from January 2019.
This is an exciting development and marks the School’s commitment to working closely with other schools and the Deanery to promote faith in the community.
We would welcome applications from ordained members of the Church of England who have a strong sense of liturgy; one that is relevant to the lives of young people. The Chaplain will be expected to work closely with staff, students, parents, governors and clergy.
We are seeking to make the School a focus for the promotion of the Christian faith within the area determined by our family of schools. In March 2015 our School achieved an “Outstanding” judgement following our SIAMS inspection which is testament to our commitment to our School ethos of Realising God-Given Potential in each and every student. We were also inspected by Ofsted in January 2017 and achieved “Good” on all measures. We are not resting on our laurels and are already on our journey to becoming an outstanding school.
This is not a teaching post though the Chaplain will be expected to have a keen interest in the education of young people.
All prospective candidates are welcome to visit our School and should you wish to do so please contact our HR Administrator, Sarah Bennett on 01932 778637 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please apply using the School's designated application form. Please note that the School will not accept CV's for this position.
The Bishop Wand Church of England School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This position will be subject to an enhanced disclosure application to the Home Office Disclosure and Barring Service.
Closing date: Wednesday 12th December 2018, 10.00am.
