Herts for Learning Ltd (HfL) is the largest Schools Company in the UK delivering school improvement services. Developed from Hertfordshire Local Authority’s education services, the company is now owned and accountable directly to schools through its Board of Directors.

HfL is looking to recruit a School Effectiveness Adviser to work as part of a team supporting secondary schools and settings (mainstream and special.) This post will be high profile and focused on system leadership to improve outcomes for all students.

You will be expected to work alongside Headteachers and senior leaders, supporting their self-evaluation, quality assurance and continuous improvement planning. As part of our team, you will be able to utilise your skills and experience to develop new products and services that meet the needs of the range of settings and schools that we support. You will be self-motivated, flexible and be prepared to travel to schools throughout Hertfordshire and beyond (travel allowance paid).

We are looking for an excellent leader, with a successful background within a school, and/or local authority or MAT setting. Experience of school inspections is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be hard working and self-motivated, have a proven track record of success in raising achievement and the ability to lead and inspire others. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of and across teams are essential for this very important role.
