£22,000-£24,000 depending on experience

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join a team of five accounts staff providing high quality accounting support to our parents, students, staff and senior leadership team. We are offering an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to manage our online payment system, which we will be expanding to include our trading activities. In addition you will be responsible for inputting student data, cashiering, managing swimming subscriptions and supporting the credit control department. The role requires working to a high level of accuracy and efficiency, and where necessary confidentiality. As Royal Russell School becomes increasingly more popular and the workload increases, we are looking for someone who is able to constantly think ‘how can we be more efficient and provide a better service? ’.

You should have good spreadsheet, computing and accounting skills, high professional standards together with a friendly personality, excellent communication skills and be happy to work independently. Strong customer service skills are key to this role, and knowledge of an online payment system would be useful, but not essential. Finance is an extremely busy department and we need to remain focussed and keep our key targets uppermost at all times.
