Guidance Counsellor | $107,810 - $114,711 per annum plus super

St Joseph’s, Stanthorpe, has been meeting the spiritual and educational needs of young people of the Stanthorpe district for more than 140 years. Our school focuses on the holistic development of every child through a unique pastoral care structure, a diverse curriculum, and contemporary facilities and resources. St Joseph’s has been recongnised as the first P-12 Visible Learning+ certified school in Australia and the first Visible Learning+ certified school in Queensland.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or Guidance Counselling coupled with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. They will possess effective relationship building and influencing skills; advanced interpersonal and communication skills; proven and effective leadership skills; and will be committed to the values and ethos of the Catholic faith. 

During weekends and paid school vacation periods, you will not be required to attend work, however attendance may be required in the event of a critical incident. This may also require providing some consultation support to neighbouring schools of the Diocese.
