The school is located less than 10 minutes’ walk from Barking tube and mainline station (25 minutes from Fenchurch Street/ Liverpool Street station) and is easily accessible by road.
We are seeking a school librarian to work in our modern, purpose-built library which plays a central role in our students learning. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the library management system, promoting literacy initiatives and supervising students. They will ensure that the facility is used to its full potential and provide support to pupils, staff and other users of the Library resources and facilities.
Ideally candidates should hold a professional qualification in librarianship, information management or information science or have a minimum of 2 years experience working in an Information Centre or Library. The successful candidate will be creative, confident, well organised and passionate about the role. Excellent verbal, literacy and written communication skills are required as is experience in all aspects of ICT.
