School Matron

The Matrons, have a significant role in the smooth running of the boarding house, helping the Housemaster to provide a happy, comfortable and well-disciplined atmosphere for the children under his care. While no formal qualifications are required, the person appointed would be expected to undertake suitable training. The Matron needs to have personal qualities that will enable her to support the Housemaster and House Staff and ensure the trust and confidence of the children. This is an important and valuable member of the House Team, and School community.

We are looking to appoint a full time School Matron to assist the Housemaster and Senior Matron in the smooth running of the boarding house, helping to provide a happy, comfortable and well-disciplined atmosphere for children in a home from home environment.

This is a full time, term time role, working 40 hours over a 5 day shift pattern of Monday to Sunday. The successful candidate must be able to commit to working weekends and late evenings on a regular basis.
