Part-time, term-time only
We are seeking to appoint a second school nurse to join our busy health care team. The post holder will deliver the provision of clinically effective, high quality health related care for all students and first aid provision as necessary for all other members of the School community (including visitors). It is essential that the post holder has the ability to work autonomously as well as being a member of a multi-disciplinary team. The ability to triage and to prioritise delivery of care quickly and accurately is key alongside administrative skills to support the Health Centre. The role compares with a Band 5 level post.
The post holder will work during the school term-time on one full day a week (from 8.30am to 5.30pm), and two afternoons (from 12 noon to 5.30pm) across the days Monday, Wednesday and Friday; to be discussed at interview. In addition, the post holder will be required to work on a number of Saturdays throughout the school term in order to provide health related care for key school events and sports matches, i.e., Open Day, Entrance Examinations, Year 7 Induction; also to be discussed at interview.
