Description Part-time Temporary Learning Support Officer Position to provide support in learning and support at St Joseph’s Primary School Taree, for 15.75 hours per week.
Position Requirements • Willing to support the mission of the Catholic School
• Highly developed computer skills and an ability to use technology for education support
• Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a team
Essential Criteria • A relevant understanding of the philosophy at Catholic Education.
• Current Working With Children number must be recorded on application.
• Good understanding of providing literacy support for students with learning difficulties including, phonics and phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension Strong ability to work with students with disabilities including cognitive, language and behavioural disabilities.
• Demonstrated experience working as a Learning Support Assistant.
• Evidence of completion of Anaphylaxis training certificate must be supplied. (https://etraining.allergy.org.au/login/index.php).
Desirable Criteria Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support.

St Joseph’s Primary School is a two streamed, co-educational K-6 Catholic school located in the New South Wales, mid north coastal town of Taree. The school has a current student population in excess of 400 and was opened in 1923 by the Sisters of St Joseph with 88 pupils in attendance. St Joseph’s Primary School is a vital part of the Catholic faith community in the Taree Parish.
