School Officer

St Kieran's Catholic School located in Mount Isa, is seeking an experienced Teacher Aide to assist in general duties and Indigenous Studies.

 

This casual contract is for Term 4 only (Monday 8th October - Friday 7th December) 20 hours, 4 days per week.

 

Key Responsibilities

•  Working in classrooms with teachers providing support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait students, across the curriculum.

•  Enthusiasm and willingness to be part of an innovative team

• The ability to work unsupervised

• Working in one to one or small group situations with students.

•  Liaising with teachers to determine student progress and well-being at the school.

•  Have great teamwork and communication skills

• Confidentiality is of paramount importance and must be adhered to at all times.

•  A Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or be eligible to hold one

• Complete Student Protection Training prior to commencement

• A First Aid Certificate (would be advantageous)
