Thank you for your interest in the position of School Officer P-12 Student Support at St Augustine’s College.

This particular will have a focus of working with students in our Prep and Junior Years precinct. Student Support School Officers work within the Student Services Team – a dynamic team which includes Support Teachers Inclusive Education and Guidance Counsellors, working together to meet the diverse learning needs of students across all four precincts of this P-12 Co-Educational College.

You will be required to work in a classroom environment with a high level of confidentiality and a willingness to work with and engage with students from Prep to Year 12. It would be advantageous to have experience with First Aid and support with student medical needs. Please see the attached Duty Statement for full position details. To be successful in this role you will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.


Estimated Start Date:    Commencing August 2020

Position Tenure:    Casual

Weeks Worked:   School term weeks only (holidays unpaid)

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):   

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   17 hours per week. Specific days to be negotiated.

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   School Officer Level 2 - $27.43 per hour

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
