School Principal

Ajyal International School, MBZ, is a  high performing School in Abu Dhabi with state of the art facilities. We are seeking a Principal to lead the School with classes from FS1 to Year 13. The school has a strong SLT supported by UK teachers.   

The school has a capacity of 2000 students with a  present strength of 1000. The candidate will have the opportunity to grow and improve the School to the next level. The School is rated "Good" with "Very Good" features during a recent ADEK inspection.   

The successful candidate will have the overall responsibility for the strategic leadership, the day to day running of the school and managing the staff. The Principal will be supported by the Managing Director and a school management company who take care of operation and finance matters.

As such, we place great emphasis on the professional development of all of our staff. The successful candidate will be expected to play a central role in leading the performance management and ongoing professional development of the team.    

As an all through school serving children from age 3 to18 we follow the British National Curriculum and the EYFS Statutory Framework. We use GL, CAT4 Progress tests from Y4 to Y10 in addition to offering a wide range of GCSE, iGCSE, AS and A Levels from Cambridge and Edexcel exam boards.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will show a genuine commitment to creating an inspiring and stimulating child-centered learning environment. Candidates should be committed to and have a proven track record of ongoing school improvement and development and feel comfortable in a climate of innovative and creative development.

We welcome applications from candidates with :

• 10 to 15 years of experience in teaching with a minimum 5 years as Principal of a whole school in the UK. Preference will be given to those who have Leadership  experience in Abu Dhabi/UAE. 

• An Internationally recognised Master’s Degree in Education with QTS with a minimum of 10 to 15 years experience in education and 5 years in a leadership role.

or

• An Internationally recognised Master's Degree plus an internationally recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Education with QTS or equivalent.

Please note two supporting references, an experience letter and a police clearance certificate, ACRO or DBS no more than 3 months old must be provided.
