School Sites Manager - Premises Level 4

Mayfield School is a successful and popular school catering for pupils between the ages of 2-19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. Mayfield School operates across 3 sites in Torquay, Brixham and Paignton.

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding, dynamic and highly motivated Site Manager to join the team at an exciting phase of the schools continuous growth and development. 

The successful candidate will be a skilled tradesman in a given area and experienced in all aspects of building work, plumbing, heating, grounds maintenance and carpentry. 

The role is full time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year.

The successful candidate will support the Business Manager by taking responsibility for management of the 3 school sites and associated facilities maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will be a hands on individual who will also lead a team of full time and part time caretakers to ensure the 3 sites are kept in the best of repair and give the pupils we educate the best chance to succeed.

An element of travel will be expected within the role.

You will be able to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team, have the ability to prioritise a heavy workload and to meet challenging deadlines.

The interview will be a panel interview along with a written task and may include other tasks on the day.
