Catholic Education, Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (CECG) plays an integral role in education both in the ACT and NSW operating 56 Catholic Systemic Schools and eight Early Learning Centres.

About the Role

This role is responsible for leading implementation of systems and processes within a workstream of a strategic program. This role’s focus is within following areas:

  • Engagement with school staff and CECG stakeholders helping with onboarding to new schools’ administration and financial systems.
  • Data integration and validation activities, in consultation with technical and financial teams, and school staff.
  • Training and Support of CECG teams and school staff on utilising new systems and processes.

A successful applicant will be part of highly collaborative cross-functional team. Applicants who require flexible working arrangements will be considered.

Key responsibilities

Under direction from the SAS Project Manager and in collaboration with the SAS Project Team, Finance Transofrmation Project Team, the ICT Applications Management Team, and Change Management Lead the incumbent will manage the following:

  • Initiate Workstream Planning
  • Schedule workstream deliveries
  • Work with cross-functional teams to document any system functionality or process changes that may be required to provide the desired business outcome
  • Provide advice to schools on new product functionality and matching that to school implementation needs.
  • Deliver training to schools, secondary colleges, CE staff
  • Work as part of a team to resolve implementation issues

Work in the Project and ICT teams to support an effective team environment:

  • Build and maintain good working relationships with other team members
  • Backup and support other team members as required.
  • Model and encourage the adoption of good team practices.


Essential Criteria

  • Have high level communication skills both written and oral including the ability to proactively engage and work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Well-developed conceptual and analysis skills including demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse and present project initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively, demonstrating the ability to work well with others and engenders a spirit of trust and teamwork.
  • Have understanding of school environments.
  • Show self-discipline and ability to manage time effectively whilst demonstrating a strong work ethic that enables the timely delivery of key objectives.
  • Proven technical competency e.g. being able to use a range of software including Microsoft Office. Level of proficiency dependant on the position.
  • Be able to work flexibly across a number of areas within the Program and organisation.
  • Sound organisation and time management skills.
  • Sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Sound planning and organisational skills.
  • Work independently to determine essential activities and coordinate other team members to deliver assigned outcomes.
