Notre Dame School are seeking a Science Laboratory Technician to join the Senior School this September 2018. Reporting to the Senior Science Laboratory Technician and Head of Science, the job purpose of the Science Laboratory Technician is to provide a full and efficient support service for the Science Teaching Staff in the Biology and Physics departments, particularly in the preparation and cleaning/clearing of lesson materials and to undertake administrative tasks when requested.

The Technician will ensure the efficient preparation and organisation of equipment for lessons as required and clean equipment and laboratories after each lesson and any chemical spillage when they occur.

The successful candidate will have a keen interest in Science, especially physics and biology and will hold a Science qualification (minimum level 3). It would be desirable that they hold qualifications in both physics and biology. They will also be organised and able to demonstrate a sound understanding of IT and administration skills.
