The Governors wish to appoint a talented and ambitious teacher of Science, to start September 2022, who can motivate and challenge pupils to unlock their potential and develop the tools they need to explore beyond what they consider to be possible.  Applications from new entrants to the profession and experienced teachers are welcomed.

Hurstmere School is a popular, non-selective secondary academy for boys aged 11 – 16, serving the local community of Sidcup. It is a special place, with a strong sense of community and a determination to succeed in all that we do. The school is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all pupils and a “culture of vigilance” to safeguard and protect all in its care.  There are policies and procedures in place, including safer recruitment procedures.  All staff and volunteers are expected to uphold this safeguarding commitment.  Offers of employment are subject to a satisfactory enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and other employment checks.
