The Hastings Academy is a secondary school for 11 to 16 year olds in Hastings, East Susses. Our moto, Pride through success, runs through everything that we do. We are a modern and innovative school, with specialist classrooms and technology to support learning. Our team of talented professional staff are committed to maximising the potential of every child. We hold the Quality of Careers Standard, the national quality award for careers education, information, advice and guidance. We are renowned for our inclusivity and outstanding care of students. We offer 180 student places every year, with a total capacity of 900. We also host a special facility for up to 10 young people with speech and language and communication difficulties. The Hastings Academy is a co-educational secondary school for students aged 11-16, located in Hastings, East Sussex. It first opened its doors in 1952 as a secondary school for girls called Hillcrest. In the early 2010s it changed its name and moved to a new purpose-built site.

The Hastings Academy is a smaller-than-average secondary school with around 900 pupils. It is part of the Hastings Academy Trust, a multi-academy trust that operates a number of schools across the region, at both primary and secondary level.

The Hastings Academy’s motto is “PRIDE through success”. PRIDE is an acronym that stands for the values that form the basis of the school’s ethos.
