Job overview

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Science Teacher and experienced classroom practitioner to teach science across the school and actively contribute to exciting whole school developments in this vibrant and ambitious department.  The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified graduate who will demonstrate the ability and drive needed to promote and strengthen science in the prep school.   The applicant should be well organised, patient and relationship-oriented. 

The applicant needs to have an interest and ability to teach sport and physical education.

The post is full time starting from September 2019 or April 2019. Cottesmore School operates its own salary scale, which is above the National State Qualified Teachers’ Scale. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Cottesmore School is an award-winning academic boarding preparatory school for girls and boys between the ages of 7 and 13 on the border of Surrey and Sussex. We also have a Pre-prep on site for girls and boys aged between 4 and 8.

Since 1894, Cottesmore has been preparing girls and boys for boarding senior schools.
