Kirkburton Middle School is a highly popular, ambitious school with 503 pupils on roll. The school is approximately six miles outside Huddersfield, in a semi-rural village setting, and is easily accessed by road from towns and cities in West and South Yorkshire.

Academic standards at the end of Year 8 are above average and there is a thriving programme of extra-curricular activities. The ethos of the school is a particular strength; welcoming, harmonious, inclusive and mutually supportive. Relationships between all members of the school community are excellent.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher who is able to instil a love of Science and a desire to learn in all pupils.  The successful candidate would be supported by an excellent Head of Department within an extremely strong team.  (The ability to teach one or more other subjects would be an advantage.)  If you are fully committed to providing the very best for each and every child through high quality teaching and learning, we would like to hear from you!

To discuss the post in more detail or to arrange an informal visit, please contact the school, by phone or email. Application packs are available on the school website.   The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday 19th March.  Interviews will be held on Thursday 19th April.
