A wonderful opportunity to join our school as we continue on the exciting venture of extending our provision to Year 11. 

We are seeking to employ a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher who is willing to teach all three sciences to Key Stage 3 with the ability to teach at least one science at Key Stage 4. There may also be a requirement to teach science at Key Stage 2.

The successful applicant will be an exemplary practitioner with excellent interpersonal and team-working skills and a strong interest in pastoral care. The Department 

Science is an energetic and growing department led by the Head of Science. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for all the sciences and be well placed to generate and sustain a high degree of motivation in all pupils. Science has a high profile in the school and investigative work forms a large proportion of lessons.

Biology, Physics, and Chemistry are the core subjects and teaching will take place in a one of three well- resourced laboratories. Currently science is taught up to 13+ CE and with the extension of the school age range will be taught up to GCSE, both double and triple award having completed a preparatory Physics and Chemistry course in years 7, 8 and 9. Our GCSE classes will be small, as are all our senior science groups. 

Newly Qualified Teachers 

The School is fully accredited to participate in the Independent Schools NQT Induction Programme in order to provide qualified teacher status. 

Interviews 

Candidates will be invited to attend an interview at the School and to meet the Head and Assistant Heads as well as the Head of Science. Candidates will be asked to teach a lesson as part of the selection process and further details will be available from the Head of Science.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 31st May 2018 and interviews will take place the w/c Monday 4th June 2018.
