We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician responsible for assisting in the day-to-day support of the learning environment of the school, monitoring standards and practices within the lab and providing technical and learning assistance in the classroom. In particular, the Science Technician will ensure that high standards of Health and Safety are maintained at all times, assisting with inventory of equipment and liaising with equipment providers to ensure good quality provision.  This is a new role to work closely with the Head of Science to ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of our Science department. 

We are looking to appoint a part time Science Technician who: 

• Can undertake tasks to support the teaching across all Science subjects. 

• Has a sound knowledge of the equipment used in Science experiments.

• Is qualified to ‘A’ level, or equivalent, in Physics and/or Chemistry and/or Biology

• Ideally has experience of a similar role within a school environment.

• Is able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team

• Can demonstrate practical knowledge and problem-solving skills, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
