St George's School for Girls is seeking to hire a part-time science technician who will be required to support class teachers with a range of activities across different age ranges, predominantly in our Lower School (P6 to L4 (or S1)).
Experience in a school setting or working with learners would be desirable.
The role will include:
• preparing equipment and materials before lessons
• providing technician support to science lessons including General Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics
• cleaning away all equipment and chemicals
• completing risk assessments

St George’s School for Girls is an independent, all-through school in Edinburgh. It caters for approximately 800 girls aged between two and eighteen.

Vision and values

St George’s nursery curriculum is based on child-led activities, involving problem-solving, creativity and role play. The school also emphasises the importance of outdoor learning and physical activity as a supplement to academic learning.
