Wombourne High School are recruiting a Science Technician to start as soon as possible, 35 hours per week and Grade 3. this is a term time only position, 39 weeks per year.

Full-time Equivalent - £16,231 – £16,928

We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising of six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and over 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.

We are a successful and increasingly popular 11-18 comprehensive school situated in the picturesque village location of Wombourne on the western fringe of the West Midlands.

We are looking for a suitably qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Science Technician.  Qualified candidates should be organised, self-motivated and confident as well as being extremely good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills and good IT Skills.

Your role is to support teaching staff in the development and education of students including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate. To coordinate the use and maintenance of practical resources and facilities and to provide assistance and advice in meeting the practical needs of the science curriculum.

The successful candidate should ideally have a NVQ2 in Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities (LATA) Educational or NVQ2 School Support Staff, or other appropriate equivalent qualification or experience.
