We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative practitioner who will have shared responsibility as second in English to start Easter or September 2018. You must have Qualified Teacher Status in the UK, or an equivalent overseas qualification with UK teaching experience. Having been designated as one of the first 100 Teaching Schools in July 2011 we have a proven history of outreach with other schools, both at a Primary and Secondary level. We are also a school with significant strength in the CPD of staff, developing our teachers for the next stage of their careers. Graded as ‘OUTSTANDING’ by Ofsted in November 2012 for the third consecutive inspection, we are committed to being a centre of innovation, creativity and enjoyment for both students and staff.
English results for 2017 were 83% A*-C, with whole school 5A*-C GCSEs at 75% including English & Maths. The department has 14 dedicated teaching rooms, a highly committed and dedicated team of staff including a Core Progress Assistant (English TA).
