We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic leader to be appointed to the position of second in the English department, to help lead our hard working and dedicated team.
The teaching of English is a real strength of the school, with strong and improving results at both GCSE and A level.
A level English Literature is to be introduced in the 2021-22 academic year.
The candidate should have previous experience of leadership in English and be able to teach up to, and including, Key Stage 5.

Netherhall School is a grant maintained, Local Authority, mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with a sixth form, situated in Maryport, Cumbria. The school achieved its first ever rating of ‘Good’ from Ofsted in 2018, was named Cumbrian Secondary School of the Year later the same year, is host to the Cumbrian Secondary School Teacher of the Year and Cumbrian Secondary School Student of the Year. The school has a rapidly rising intake and the sixth form has over doubled in size in the past few years, with 720 students of age 11-18 currently on roll.
