The Eastern Multi-Academy Trust is a regionally based Trust with both Primary and Secondary Academies across the East of England.  Originally founded as the CWA Academy Trust and sponsored by the College of West Anglia, due to the growth of the Trust and its success, it was decided that the time was right for the Trust to become independent. The Eastern Multi-Academy Trust became an independent body and sponsor in its own right in May 2017.

The first Secondary phase academy, King’s Lynn Academy, opened in 2010.  2014 was a period of rapid growth with two Primary phase Academies; Nelson Academy in Downham Market and Eastgate Academy in Kings Lynn as well as our Secondary Academy, King Edward VII Academy in King’s Lynn. Southery Academy then joined us in 2016, with North Wootton Academy and Upwell Academy joining us in early 2017.

The Trust has also established a hub of schools during 2017 in the Thetford region; Diamond Academy, Norwich Road Academy, Admirals Academy, West Row Academy, Queensway Academy, Glade Academy with a planned expansion during 2018.

Our family of academies helps us fulfil our desire of establishing a vibrant education system that enthuses young people and supports economic development of the region, raising standards throughout and aiding transition through the system. Our academies promote individual learning through inspirational teaching and challenging lessons, driving up academic standards and achievement rates well above the national levels. This had been particularly recognised with strong Ofsted outcomes in the Primary phase for Nelson Academy (Good) and Eastgate Academy (Outstanding) in 2017, as well as Nelson Academy being in the top 2% of the county for progress.

Like all strong families the Eastern Multi-Academy Trust seeks to offer mutual support to one another, develop shared learning and understanding, collaborate to achieve better outcomes, recognise unique qualities and differences, be positive and aspirational, focus on the successes of individuals and develop a culture of healthy competition.
